Hello welcome to semester 4, in this semester I trainee and I pick Mercure Hotel & Convention centre Ancol, Jakarta Utara for my place to trainee for six month. I start trainee on February, 12th 2018. I pick pastry & bakery section for six month.


In Jakarta, I live in Pademangan of Jakarta Utara, from where I live to the hotel about 1.5 km. my access to hotel using public transportation of Jakarta, transjakarta busway, after taking the busway to ancol I continue with the walk about 30 minutes to get hotel.




For the first week I was many studied about pastry. For example I get a beliave to handle breakfast on the morning

Some of our breakfast menus are: pancakes, waffles, bread butter pudding, bread gluten free, fresh milk, market cake, traditional herbal medicine, ice cream, croissant and Danish. I was assigned to keep section pancake, waffle and bread butter pudding. After breakfast time finished. I closing breakfast and then prepare for breakfast tomorrow, after that we start doing make cake and bread.




In addition I also help for the wedding or meeting, prepared for dessert lunch or dinner and set up cake shop in the nelayan bar.

Next, the second week I’ve Afternoon shift, I learned a lot in making product cake, because in this hotel made pastry cake only at evening. during the second week I have learned to make pizza dough for ala carte, making various cakes, making cakes various puddings and jelly in glass, making bread, like burger bun and sweet roll, making meringue making various sauce, like strawberry sauce, chocolate sauce, mango sauce and various other cake products.
